My Current Shower Favorites

Every time I shower or soak in the tube I feel so much gratitude to have access to clean water and the home I share with Rik. It is a “little” luxury that I never take for granted.

During a quiet rinse is also when I remember things to add to my to-do list or ideas for blog posts are born. While looking at my shower caddy (similar linked) it dawned upon me that I have never shared what I use in the shower before! I have a couple favorites and a couple of new things that I have recently fallen in love with…

Let’s start from the top (left to right in the photo):

  1. I LOVE to exfoliate and usually I use Love, Beauty and Planets scrub. I ran out so I have been using this bag of Frank Body scrub! Both are vegan, get the job done, smell amazing and leave my skin smooth and soft AF!

2. Drench is a bubble bath by Zoella that I picked up at Beautycon. It smells nice and create #instaworthy bubbles!

3. After a bad reaction to an ingredient in another shampoo I had horrible dry scalp and dandruff. It was the worst! The only thing that helped quickly was Head and Shoulders. I honestly love it! Their shampoo and conditioner is keeping my scalp healthy and hair happy.

Middle ( from left to right):

  1. My favorite hemp beauty brand, Cannasmack, sent me their body washes in ‘Wild Orange Crush’ and ‘Plain Mary Jane’. They are soap-free so they don’t lather like other body washes because they don’t strip your skin! Use my code VIKMARGARITA for 10% off your order.

2. The cactus bath bomb was a gift from a friend! She got it at (the evil) Victoria’s Secret.

3. Next is a hair mask I got in my first FabFitFun box. After shampooing, I put this Morroccan Gold Series Treatment Mask on for 5 minutes then rinse. Best mask I have ever tried!

Bottom shelf ( from the top left to right):

  1. When I want to exfoliate while cleansing I use an exfoliating Sandalwood and Shea Butter bar soap from Love Beauty and Planet. I love that it comes in plastic free packaging.

  2. The thing on a string that looks like coal is actually a Konjac sponge. I received this in a Beauteque Beauty box and when soaked in water, becomes a squishy, gentle exfoliator for your face! It is affordable (5$!) and biodegradable.

  3. Did you know masking in the shower saves time AND helps your skin soak in the essences better?! I store a couple masks in the shower by hole punching the top of the pouch and re-purposing a string from an Xmas gift to hang them. I get all my amazing face masks from my subscription to Facetory!

  4. To save water and even more time, I put on my super cute hair cap from Sugar Bear Hair! It is lined with soft towel-like fabric. It is great to wear during a bath or while using a hair masks.

Share your favorite shower products in the comments! I love to explore new beauty options :)

Stay fresh,

XO Vik
