The Copper Cafe
I have lived in San Luis Obispo for 2 years and I have done a photoshoot at the famous Madonna Inn in the Austrian Suite but it wasn't till this past Wednesday that I finally went to The Copper Cafe to have a slice of their world famous cake. So I scheduled a girl date with my friend Sam because there is no one better to have cake with than your best gal pal, duh!
I really wanted pancakes but we missed the time for breakfast so I ordered tea, a fruit plate, and a slice of Pink Champagne cake. Sam had coffee, chili and a slice of the Banana Nut cake.
If i had to use one word to describe the taste of Madonna Inn cake it would have to be DELIGHTFUL. Good thing I missed out on pancakes or I would have died from sweetness overload!
After gossip and cake we ran around exploring the lobby which was fully kitsch for the holidays. The well known souvenir goblets in the Gift Shop ( I was gifted a purple one !) and the most amazingy crafted bags from Mary Frances were in the boutique. We also took shameless advantage of the envy inducing bathrooms.
Outfit is head to toe thrifted from different thrift stores and the top is Anthropology thrifted from Poshmark.
Let them eat cake
